Four Days in Iceland

Hint: It’s not long enough

Last November, the day after Thanksgiving, I was sitting at work feeling sorry for myself, when an ad came up on my Facebook feed — Black Friday Special — Vacation Packages to Iceland.

I had considered visiting Iceland, but didn’t know too much about it. Regardless, within minutes, I had booked myself a trip.

Just what I needed — something to look forward to, and the price was right.

Cool. I’m going to Iceland.

The package included two tours, and over the next few months, I researched and booked myself a couple other excursions. I wanted to fill up my time there, and see as much as humanly possible.

And here’s how it went.

Day One

After an overnight flight from Chicago, I landed in Reykjavik in the morning. It was still dark out, since sunrise was not until around 9:30AM. Airport transfers were included in the package, and that whole thing was easy to figure out, thankfully. They are quite organized and efficient in this country, evidenced by the transportation to the hotel.
